Ethiopia Shanta Golba Natural is an organically produced, naturally processed coffee crafted by over 1,200 small-holder farmers in the Daya Bensa area of the Sidama region. This exceptional coffee is sourced through our importer’s partners at Unravel Coffee Merchants and Ardent Coffee Export, who are vital contributors to the community. They have constructed a road to improve transportation, established a local elementary school, created an orphanage for children, and built the Shanta Golba washing station. Furthermore, Ardent offers agronomy training, cherry harvesting assistance, and healthcare for all washing station workers.

Shanta Golba is a remarkable place where feelings of kindness and gratitude are palpable, and where the soil is cherished for providing both food and livelihoods for the farmers. This coffee is cultivated using organic methods by certified organic producers at the source.

Our latest batch of Ethiopia Shanta Golba Natural is a vibrant and dynamic coffee, rich in complexity and depth across the roast spectrum. Light to medium roasts emphasize remarkable florality and a bright, fruit-forward profile, featuring notes of lavender, boysenberry, Madagascar vanilla, and honey, all enveloped in a creamy mouthfeel with balanced acidity. When roasted darker, the coffee evolves into a rich, syrupy cup with deep flavors of pomegranate, mixed berry jam, dark chocolate, cola, and a comforting, buttery pie crust.
